The Story

Apertures in Time searches our unique lived experiences and shines a light on the stories that hold and tie our identities. Each hexagon of framed sterling silver is fused together, much like our memories, from smaller components, textured over time and darkened to convey depth. The open spaces in the fused pieces offer an opportunity to question the boundaries of our own memories and perspectives, while the smaller open hexagonal links hint at the many stories still untold. This collection reminds us of the beauty and complexity inherent in each of our journeys, of finding our identity and building a personal history. Each piece in the collection is hand fabricated, ensuring each “story” is unique, encouraging us to honour the majesty of our own path.

This is the centerpiece of the Apertures in Time Collection, a fully hand crafted sterling silver necklace showcasing six framed hexagons along a 28” square link chain, secured with a designer toggle clasp. Featuring a multilayered custom texture, the piece is scratch finished, oxidized, and lightly polished, accentuating the details. Weighing 3 ozt, this captivating necklace will inspire conversation and create its own stories with you.
